An Innovative Methodology for the immersion of 3D printing in VET subjects

E3D+VET an Erasmus + European Union program project

The main objective of this project is to train teachers non-computer design skilled in VET centres with the aim of using 3D printing across almost of all the subjects.

The use of this technology in VET schools will improve educational transversal skills of the students. Furthermore, it aims to enhance the concentration of students with Attention Deficit Disorder.

Training material for teachers

3D experts will create suitable training material teachers with no design or technology background about the 3D technology. These tools will help teachers to create a methodology for all teachers.

2

working on

3D software files

Develop software files which will contain the design of the 25 exercises that the targeted teachers will create. These exercises will be suitable for different types of VET subjects.

3

Networking community tool

A platform where to uploaded exercises and made available for other teachers and students as well. The aim is to create a networking community tool for teachers who use 3D printing techniques.

4

Pilot tests

The tests will be conducted in VET schools and will include a group of 10 students with fewer opportunity. This output will evaluate the impact on teachers and students education in general.

5

Dissemination

Launch a set of webinars, which will contribute to the dissemination of the material to the European community. The purpose of this activity is to open to dialogue and forecast the use of 3D printing in VET.

Who can be interested in E3D+VET?

Students with training difficulties

These innovative teaching techniques will increase their interest for the subjects and inspire them to be more creative

Self-taught students

Many of the tools developed and among them the training platform will be available to the general public.

Education experts and VET teachers

Teachers, with no background in design or technology, make available sustainable training material on how to use 3D printing.

Other educational bodies

E3d+vet tools could be used in primary and secondary schools also for people with specific disorders.
